1. Overview
Real Boba is a recipe and brewing companion for Taiwanese bubble tea. This policy explains what information the app handles, why it is handled, and the choices available to you.
2. Information stored on your device
The app can store brew logs, ratings, notes, favourite recipes, saved recipes, story progress, badges, experience points, and timer sessions. Photos you add remain on your device and are not uploaded by Real Boba.
3. iCloud sync
If you use iCloud, supported records such as logs, ratings, notes, progress, badges, experience points, and preferences may sync through Apple's private CloudKit service. Real Boba does not receive your full iCloud account identifier, and photos are not synced by the app.
4. Optional analytics
If analytics is enabled, the app may send screen, recipe, timer, paywall, StoreKit, and sync outcomes together with app version, operating system, locale, country, a session identifier, days since install, and brew count. It does not send your name, email address, full iCloud identifier, note text, photos, audio, precise location, contacts, IDFA, or advertising identifiers.
5. Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles payment card information and purchase records under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
6. Pearl evaluation
Pearl evaluation is performed locally on your device. Images are not uploaded to Real Boba or a third-party AI service for this feature.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app. iCloud records are governed by your Apple Account and iCloud settings. To ask about deletion or privacy, email hkaiyen@gmail.com.
8. Your rights
You may request information about how your data is handled and ask for deletion where applicable. We respond according to applicable law, including Taiwan privacy requirements and, where applicable, GDPR rights.
